Borussia Dortmund give timeframe for Jadon Sancho transfer talks with Manchester United

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed they will hold discussions over Jadon Sancho's future after their game against Real Madrid in the Champions League final this weekend.

Sancho was banished from Manchester United's first-team in September after an extraordinary outburst on social media in response to being omitted from Erik ten Hag's matchday squad.

Ten Hag confirmed Sancho was absent from the squad to play Arsenal on September 3 due to unsatisfactory training performances – which he took umbrage with. Sancho was placed on an individual training plan and was offered a lifeline by his former club Dortmund, who re-signed him on loan in January.

Dortmund paid an up-front fee of €3.5million to take Sancho on loan, with a further €4m in potential add-ons, and Champions League clauses were included.

Club sources indicated a 'significant' bonus was activated when Dortmund reached the semi-finals of the Champions League and that another payment was triggered when the German side progressed to the final at Wembley with a victory against Paris Saint-Germain.

It's understood United will look to sell Sancho this summer and bids in the region of £30million will be considered, which could tempt prospective buyers after his recent displays.

Sancho impressed in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against PSG and is expected to start in the final against Real Madrid on Saturday night.
