Benjamin Sesko leaves door open to Man United transfer as major £480k per week offer emerges

Manchester United have been handed a major boost in their quest to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, despite the 21-year-old having signed a new deal with the Bundesliga outfit earlier this week.

Erik ten Hag's side have been linked with the Slovenian international after his impressive displays in Germany which saw him score 18 goals from 42 appearances in all competitions this season, with the starlet having long been tipped for a big-money move to a major European club.

Having signed Rasmus Hojlund for an initial £64 million fee last summer, it could be that the Dutchman feels as though adding more firepower to his squad will help them climb the Premier League table after their disappointing eighth-place finish this season.

However, if the Red Devils were to splash out on a major signing this summer, there'd need to be some balancing of the books in order to stay within the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSRs) with a slew of departures expected this summer with their list of names that could be on their way out including Casemiro, Victor Lindelof, and Jadon Sancho who will no doubt drum up funds for United.

They are also going after Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite who could cost them as much as £75 million, meaning leaving a deal for Sesko until next summer could be much more beneficial for them. And now Bundesliga journalist Christian Falk has reported that United could still have a chance of signing Sesko in the future.

It's believed Leipzig have promised Sesko that he can move to a new club next summer
