Bolton injury latest on Santos, Lee, Sheehan, Isgrove & Williams as pre-season readiness assessed

Bolton Wanderers are about to end their first campaign back in League One since 2020 after being automatically promoted to the division last season.

Ian Evatt's side finished in the top three in League Two last season and are poised for a top 10 finish back in the third tier of English football.

They end the season tomorrow with hosting Fleetwood Town, who are hoping to preserve their League One status and remain clear of the division's relegation zone.

The Cod Army are outside the bottom four on goal difference alone ahead of Gillingham as the battle to stay up will go down to the final day.

Crainey's men take on Wanderers while the Gills host automatic promotion chasing Rotherham United on the last day of the season this Saturday.

For Wanderers, there are several absentees missing the final game of the season owing to injury, some of which are long-term and others more recently suffered.

Josh Sheehan and Lloyd Isgrove have been out since November owing to a ruptured ACL and a hamstring injury respectively.

The latter has suffered a reoccurance of the problem in a reserves clash against Fleetwood Town last month, which he had originally sustained in November.

Wales international Sheehan has recently been back running on grass at the club's Lostock training base and Evatt.

Club captain Ricardo Santos and influential midfielder Kieran Lee have also been out of late owing to a hamstring injury and recovery from heel spur surgery respectively.
