Bojan Miovski transfer exit latest as 'emotional' Aberdeen FC scenes get firm response from Jimmy Thelin

Jimmy Thelin has insisted no deal has been done - despite Bojan Miovski having looked to say his Aberdeen goodbyes.

Spanish side Girona remain in talks with the Dons but have still to agree a fee for the North Macedonian international. Miovski, who netted 26 goals last season, came off the bench in the 3-1 win against St Mirren and then was emotional as he took a lap of honour in front of the Red Shed and Pittodrie. Thelin said: “There is strong interest in him but still he is here so I can’t see anything.

“We have a squad but I don’t want to speculate. We can’t say what is happening in the future but there was a lot of emotions today. We have a strong dialogue all the time. When he went in he was ready.” Aberdeen made it six wins out of six for Thelin. It is the best start of any Pittodrie manager. They are on maximum points with Celtic but the Swede is refusing to get carried away.

He added: “I like my life here in Aberdeen and the players on the pitch are doing fine. It’s not easy at all. We need to stay humble and keep working. It’s a long journey but we need to improve.”

Aberdeen hope to finalise the signing of HJK winger Topi Keskinen this week. The Dons have agreed a £850,000 deal and a four year deal with the players. Thelin refused to speak about the deal until it is finalised.
