New striker, Nunes decision, more sales - What to expect from Man City on transfer deadline day

It is set to be a quiet transfer deadline day at Manchester City - and that is how they like it.

Despite the £64m exit of Julian Alvarez and four-month injury to Oscar Bobb, it is unlikely City will make a late move for any reinforcements in the striking area before Friday's 11pm deadline. Celtic's Kyogo Furuhashi had been linked as well as FC Copenhagen forward Orri Oskarsson, however interest in both appears to have cooled - and Copenhagen have received an offer for Oskarsson from an unnamed Spanish club for the striker as talks continue.

West Ham academy striker Divin Mubama confirmed his own signing on social media on Thursday. But the £2m addition is expected to begin his City career for the under-21 squad rather than go straight into Pep Guardiola's plans, so the majority of City's efforts on deadline day will centre around outgoings.

Joao Cancelo left permanently this week for Al Hilal, taking City's summer incomings to around £145m, while defender Issa Kabore was closing in on a season-long loan to Benfica earlier this week so that move could be completed. There would be no option or obligation to buy for the full-back in that deal - with the Burkina Faso international also attracting interest from Augsburg, Venezia, Stade Reins and Werder Bremen.

Academy winger Joel Ndala has interest from Ajax, AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven and may leave permanently this window, although time is running out for any deal to be completed. Ndala has not featured for the Elite Development Squad at the start of the season
