Bojan Miovski earns left field West Ham transfer shoutout as Olympic legend makes Aberdeen striker plea

British Olympic legend Kriss Akabusi has urged his beloved West Ham United to make a move for in-demand Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski.

The former athletics ace was in Scotland for the celebrity pro-am golf tournament at Trump International Links and took time out to discuss the Dons hitman who rejected a bid of around £3million for the North Macedonia international as they look for a fee of more than double that of the Spaniards offer.

Celebrity Hammers supporter Akabusi, who won medals at the Olympics in 1984 and 1992, was quizzed on Miovski and said: “West Ham are certainly looking for a striker. If Aberdeen are looking for £6.5m or £7m, then I would be asking what’s wrong with him if he only costs that amount.

“I know £10million wouldn’t be a lot of money in English football. If he is half-decent West Ham better get on the blower – especially if half of Europe is after him! We definitely need a striker. We have a problem with Jhon Duran – Aston Villa want £40m for him and we have offered £35m. Miovski could be a massive bargain in comparison!”

Meanwhile, speaking to the Press & Journal, Aberdeen strike legend John Hewitt believes Miovski will stay if Reds chiefs demands are not met. He said: “The club will have a figure in mind. If a club doesn’t meet that figure then I think Bojan will stay. Whatever happens, he has been a great servant to the club.”
