Big name from the 1990s rumoured as next name to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame

Another big name for the 1990s is reported to be the next star to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

WWE had already announced The Undertaker as the headline act in the year’s ceremony and then this week added former WCW World Champion Vader to the 2022 class, but they could be joined by another huge name from the 1990s.

According to Andrew Zahrian of The Wrestling Observe two-time WWE and WCW Champion Psycho Sid is reportedly next in line to be inducted over WrestleMania weekend in Dallas.

Sid made a name for himself in WCW in the early 90s as part of the tag team The Skyscrapers before joining the legendary Four Horsemen stable. He moved to WWE in 1991 as ‘Sid Justice’ and would go on to play a memorable role in Ric Flair’s famous Royal Rumble win in 1992, before taking on Hulk Hogan in the main event of WrestleMania XIII.

After a brief stint back in WCW, he returned to WWE in 1995 as the bodyguard of Shawn Michaels in a run where he would enjoy his most successful spell with the company. As ‘Sycho Sid’ he would defeat Michaels at Survivor Series 1996 to win the WWE Championship, one of two-reigns he achieved before leaving for WCW once again 1999.

A dauting big man, who dubbed himself the ‘Master and Ruler of the World’ Sid would taste world championship gold twice further in WCW before the turn of millennium and was last seen on WWE TV as part of Raw’s 1000th episode celebrations in 2012.

The Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place on Friday 1 April as the kick-off to WrestleMania weekend in Dallas.
