“Better players out there” – Sheffield Wednesday fan pundit makes Chey Dunkley contract claim

Sheffield Wednesday could potentially be in for a busy summer of transfer activity as manager Darren Moore looks to bolster his squad.

Whereas the nature of the Owls’ business will depend on what division they find themselves in, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if a number of players are allowed to leave Hillsborough.

One of the individuals who is facing an uncertain future at Wednesday is Chey Dunkley.

The defender’s contract expires in June and he has yet to reach an agreement with the Owls over fresh terms.

“He has got a bit better but when you look at the players that we’ve got, I’d be looking to sign Harlee Dean to be honest if he’s available in the summer.

“There’s just better players out there than Chey Dunkley to be honest.

“He’s done the job but the style of play Darren Moore wants to play and passing out from the back, he just worries me every time he gets the ball.

“His aerial ability you can’t falter, it’s second to none and he wins every ball in the air but yeah for me, there’s better players
