Benjamin Mendy's alleged 'fixer' raped girl, 17, while 'pretending' to be another man, court hears

Benjamin Mendy's alleged 'fixer' raped a 17-year-old girl while 'pretending' to be another man, a jury has heard.

The complainant - Woman Nine - alleges she was raped and sexually assaulted by 41-year-old Louis Saha Matturie, who is standing trial alongside the Manchester City player, in April of last year.

Mr Mendy, 28, is accused of seven counts of rape against four women; one count of attempted rape; and one count of sexual assault. The allegations relate to seven women in total.

Mr Matturie, from Eccles, Salford, denies six counts of rape; and three counts of sexual assault, relating to seven women. Both men have pleaded not guilty to all charges.

On Tuesday, jurors at Chester Crown Court heard from Woman Nine, who said she woke up to find Mr Matturie raping her in a spare bedroom at his apartment in Chapel Street, Salford. In a video-recorded interview, the woman - who is now 18 - told a police officer that she and a friend visited the address in the early hours of the morning.

At the time, she had known Mr Matturie for about a month and described him as a ‘friend’. During the course of the evening, the woman said she had been speaking to one of Mr Matturie’s friends. She said she was drinking cans of Coke but ‘may have had a shot’.

After becoming 'tired', she fell asleep in a spare bedroom and woke up an hour later to find a man ‘trying to have sex with me’, jurors heard. Woman Nine said she was lying on her side while the man was ‘spooning’ her from behind.

She said she felt him ‘touching her vagina with his fingers’ before he climbed on top of her and started having sex with her. The woman said she was ‘half
