LIVE: Trial of Manchester City's Benjamin Mendy and co-defendant Louis Saha Matturie continues - updates

The trial of Manchester City player Benjamin Mendy and his co-defendant Louis Saha Matturie will continue today.

Mr Mendy, 28, denies seven counts of rape against four women; one count of attempted rape; and one count of sexual assault.

The offences are alleged to have taken place at his Cheshire mansion between October 2018 and August last year, relating to seven women in total.

Mr Matturie, 41, from Eccles, Salford, denies six counts of rape; and three counts of sexual assault, relating to seven women.

Today (Monday), the jury is set to hear more from a police interview with one alleged victim, Woman Ten.

The two men are on trial at Chester Crown Court.

Woman Ten said Mr Grealish’ friends ‘did seem nice enough’.

“They were just drinking and having a good time,” she said.

She said she went to look for Woman Eleven around the pool and at other rooms around the house.

She recalled seeing Mr Grealish’ friends at the poolside.

Pressed further, Woman Ten said she could recall one conversation with Mr Grealish where he complimented her eyes.

Later in the morning the witness said she saw Mr Grealish who was wearing salmon pink pleated shorts. She remembered at the time thinking this was ‘a bit weird’.

“That’s the only contact I remember having with him,” Woman Ten told the officer.

Woman Ten is asked about any interaction she had with Jack Grealish and his associates at the party.

She described how she had left a nightclub earlier in the evening, and was with four girls in a taxi to Prestbury said to have been called by Mr Matturie.
