Ben Brereton Diaz transfer latest: La Liga club 'bid' as Blackburn Rovers 'set price tag'

Blackburn Rovers fans are still waiting for a breakthrough in the transfer market.

Jon Dahl Tomasson is now the only Championship manager yet to bring a new face into the first-team as the wait for additions continue. Gregg Broughton declared that Rovers have a budget to work with but that has yet to yield any results.

Of course, that kitty could be significantly bolstered by the sale of Ben Brereton Diaz. Last season's top goal-scorer has plenty of admirers and with one year left on his contract, he could leave Ewood Park this summer.

After ending the season with 22 Championship goals, there is no shortage of speculation around his next destination. Here is a rundown of the latest reports surrounding Brereton Diaz's future.

La Liga outfit Sevilla have submitted a £10million offer for the Chilean star, according to reports from Alan Nixon. The Spanish club have been admirers for a while and have made their move, according to reports.

The article also states that Rovers value Brereton Diaz at around £20million, a similar figure they recouped for Adam Armstrong last summer in similar circumstances. The 23-year-old has one year left on his contract and the Venky's are said to be keen on holding out for a higher figure.

According to the reports, Sevilla, Real Betis and Valencia are all interest in Brereton Diaz and want to fight Premier League clubs for his signature. Leeds United, Everton and Bournemouth are all named as suitors by The Sun.

West Ham and Brighton's interest is played down in the update, whilst Nottingham Forest and Wolves were linked previously by TeamTALK. With no manager or Sporting Director in place, a decision is not imminent on his future.
