BBC Strictly's Wynne Evans prepares for exit as he makes candid confession 'could be our last dance'
Strictly Come Dancing's Wynne Evans has confessed to Janette Manrara on the show's spin-off that he anticipates his departure from the competition each week, especially after finding himself in the bottom two last Sunday.
The opera singer, alongside his dance partner Katya Jones, discussed their upcoming routine and their feelings about being in the position of the bottom two.
Wynne openly acknowledged his limitations on the dance floor, saying he's "not the best dancer" and had braced himself for an early exit since the first week.
Reflecting on their survival after eight weeks and facing the dance-off, he said: "Do you know what? I don't want to make light of being in the dance-off because nobody really wants to be in the dance-off.
"But as I said, on the night I expected to go on week one, pretty much. And so, since the first elimination, we have just been going, 'Do you know what? This could be our last dance on Strictly, so let's just get out there and have fun'," reports the Mirror.
"And so you kind of expecting it at some point during the programme, so it was just one of those things, and we were like, really cool about it."
Katya added her perspective, noting Wynne's composure and acknowledging the stiff competition. She praised his progress, highlighting the judges' recognition of his improved footwork and frame.
She continued: "To me, it was one of your best dances because you're the best."
Wynne and Katya cancelled their appearance on It Takes Two on Wednesday night, with Dianne Buswell and Chris McCausland stepping in as replacements.
