BBC Strictly Come Dancing star being 'brave' after painful injury as tour dates cancelled over Storm Eowyn

Strictly Come Dancing star Wynne Evans told fans he was being 'brave' after suffering a painful injury while on the road with the hit dance show.

As fans of the BBC One dance contest know, opera singer Wynne and his professional dance partner Katya were partnered during the 2024 run of the hit show. They lost their place in Strictly's 20th-anniversary series following the Blackpool special, just a mere few weeks before the grand final,

Wynne and Katya have seen been reunited for the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2025 tour which sees Wynne reunited with his fellow 2024 castmates - Love Island's Tasha Ghouri, actress Sarah Hadland, JLS singer JB Gill, EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick, The X Factor winner Shayne Ward and Gladiators star Montell Douglas.

But Wynne has now revealed that he's injured his ankle while performing on the live tour. He took to his Instagram Stories to share a picture of his swollen ankle and wrote as the caption: "Turned my ankle last night in the show but I'm being a brave soldier."

It comes after the Friday evening (January 24) show was cancelled due to the extreme weather in the UK. The venue announced the show in Glasgow has been postponed due to Storm Eowyn forcing people to stay indoors.

A Rare red weather warnings have been put in place in Scotland and Northern Ireland as winds of up to 100mph have swept the country. It means that Friday’s live performance of the hit dancing show at the OVO Hyrdro had been cancelled and rescheduled for Sunday evening.

A post shred on Instagram read: "UPDATE. Sadly, due to the red weather warning in place tomorrow, the Friday evening performance of Strictly Come Dancing The Live Tour will be rescheduled to Sunday evening, January 26. Doors will open at 17.30
