BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Tasha Ghouri says 'I wish' as she makes 'final' announcement

Tasha Ghouri was left telling fans 'I wish' after a dream she had for her time on Strictly Come Dancing was confirmed to not be coming true as she prepares for the final.

Tasha and her professional dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec were seen competing in the semi-final of the hit dance competition last weekend, during which did all they could to bounce back from being in the dance-off during the previous quarter-final and it seemingly paid off as the pair received perfect scores for their second dance.

However, in a heart-breaking twist, the former Love Island star and the professional dancer landed in the dreaded bottom two for a second week running and had to fight for their place in the final against Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal.

It was then confirmed that it was the latter pairing who had just missed out on making it through to the last week of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series after the judges unanimously chose to save Tasha and Aljaz.

It meant that Tasha and Aljaz, Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell were officially named Strictly's 2024 finalists and the four couples will perform three dances each in a bid for the Glitterball trophy this Saturday night (December 14).
