BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Aljaz Skorjanec teases return with two-word message as wife Janette Manrara admits 'it's hard'

Aljaz Skorjanec has cheekily teased a potential return to Strictly Come Dancing. The dancer is currently enjoying dad life as he takes on the majority of parenting duties while his wife Janette Manrara travels the country with the dance contest's 2024 live tour.

But back in spring of 2022, Aljaz left Strictly heartbroken when he confirmed he was quitting the show after nine years. The 33-year-old, who was born in Slovenia, joined the BBC dance competition in 2013 and during his first year, he lifted the Glitterball Trophy with model Abbey Clancy.

Other partnerships included Alison Hammond, Helen George, Gemma Atkinson and, most recently during the 2021 series, Dragons' Den star Sara Davies. His exit also came just weeks after fellow pro, and Dancing On Ice judge, Oti Mabuse announced she was also leaving after sevens years on the programme.

While Aljaz hasn't been a pro dancer on the show since, he has often joined Strictly spin-off It Takes Two, for which Janette is a host, for various segments. However, could we soon see Aljaz officially back in the ballroom? It wasn't quite as it seemed as the star responded to a post from former co-star Dianne Buswell.

Australian dancer Dianne was keeping busy on her journey up to Sheffield for the next leg of the Strictly tour alongside Summer Dyason who is a celebrity makeup artist currently making the stars of the hit dance show glamourous for their string of live gigs in front of arena crowds up and down the country.
