BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Ellie Leach says 'I am capable' as she shares moving message to herself

Ellie Leach has said she's 'capable' as she prepares for a major move after winning Strictly Come Dancing. The actress only finished the BBC One show's live tour a couple of weeks ago with dance partner Vito Coppola but she'll now be back touring the country.

Ellie, who shot to fame playing Faye Windass in Coronation Street, is treading the boards in her first stage role in the play Cluedo 2 and went straight into rehearsals off the back of finishing the Strictly live tour earlier this month which saw her and Vito, 31, reunited and performing in arenas up and down the country across three weeks with their dancing co-stars.

The five-month UK tour marks the world premiere of Cluedo 2 - The Next Chapter and will kick off at Richmond Theatre on 29 February before visiting theatres across the UK until July. The tour will also include a week-long run on home turf for Ellie at The Lowry Theatre in Salford.

Speaking about the new role, which sees her play the role of Miss Scarlet, taking over from Helen Flanagan after she was 'advised to withdraw due to medical reasons', Ellie previously said: "After an incredible year I’m so excited to join the cast of Cluedo 2. I am delighted to make my stage acting debut as Miss Scarlett and I can’t wait to work with Jason and the talented cast."

Ahead of her opening night on Thursday (February 29), Ellie took to her Instagram Story as she listened to Chaka Khan's hit 'I'm Every Woman'. Alongside the screenshot of her 'shuffle song', the 22-year-old wrote: "Tonight is the opening night of @cluedostageplay."
