BBC Hairy Bikers Dave Myers' wife pays emotional tribute as she shares 'special' part of grief

Dave Myers' wife has paid an emotional tribute to her late husband following his sad death earlier this month. The Hairy Bikers star's death was announced on February 28 by his co-star and friend of 30 years Si King.

"I’m afraid I bear some sad news. Most of you will know Dave has been fighting cancer for the past couple of years. Last night, on 28th February 2024, with Lili, Dave’s wife, his family, close friend David and myself by his side, he passed away peacefully at home," Si said in the heartbreaking message.

"All who knew Dave are devastated at his passing. His beloved wife brought him such happiness as did her children, Iza and Sergiu who Dave loved like his own. Personally, I am not sure I can put into words on how I feel at the moment. My best friend is on a journey that for now, I can’t follow."

Tributes poured in for the much-loved star and a tribute has since been made by the BBC as it was decided Dave and Si's latest series, Hairy Bikers Go West, will continue to air in his memory earlier this week.

Now, Dave's wife Liliana Orzac has thanked his fans for the “massive wave of love, compassion and care that you have shown towards me”. She was at his side along with Si when the presenter and TV chef died “peacefully” at home last week.

Liliana, who he met while filming Hairy Bikers in Romania, said on the duo's Instagram page with a sweet picture of them together: "I will never be able to thank you all enough for the massive wave of love, compassion and care that you have shown towards me, Simon and our families in these past days
