BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell declares love for co-star after fans gutted by 'split'

Dianne Buswell has reaffirmed her love for Chris McCausland amid their Strictly Come Dancing 'split'. The pair emerged victorious in the final of the BBC One dance contest back in December.

Everything changed for the professional dancer and the comedian when they were paired together for Strictly's 20th-anniversary series back in September. Another 13 weeks later and Chris, who was Strictly's first-ever blind contestant, and Dianne were left in tears as they lifted the coveted Glitterball trophy.

After the final, the pair went their separate ways as Chris and Dianne didn't reunite at the start of the year like previous winners for this year's Strictly Come Dancing Live tour.

While Dianne is still among the pro dancers performing in arenas across the country, Chris has instead has headed out on the road with his own show, after delaying his stand-up tour, Yonks!, to take part in Strictly 2024. He previously confirmed: "My stand-up tour #Yonks continues in a couple of weeks time. The first three months of the year are completely sold out, but tickets are available for some dates from April onwards…"

But weeks after fans of the BBC One dance contest witnessed their emotional win, Chris and Dianne delighted fans as they reunited for a new podcast, which they have titled after their Strictly team name, Winning Isn't Everything, which was based on Dianne's dad Mark's comments to his daughter when she discovered her partner for her eighth year on the show.
