BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell says 'I missed you' as co-star shuts down one-word comment

Dianne Buswell has shared how much she has missed Chris McCausland following the end of their Strictly Come Dancing journey as she carried on performing without him.

As fans know, the professional dancer and the comedian were paired together for the 2024 run of the BBC One dance contest back in September, and twelve weeks later they made it through to the grand final. The last live show marked week number 13 of the competition and it was Chris and Dianne were seen beating stiff competition from fellow finalists Miranda actress Sarah Hadland and partner Vito Coppola, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and dancer Aljaz Skorjanec and JLS singer JB Gill and partner Lauren Oakley to lift the famous Glitterball trophy after breaking into tears.

Chris, who was Strictly's first-ever blind contestant and winner, and Dianne soon went their separate ways as their dancing journey wasn't continuing like some of their co-stars on the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour 2025.

Their partnership has, however, continued in the form of a new podcast, which they have titled after their Strictly team name, Winning Isn't Everything, which was based on Dianne's dad Mark's comments to his daughter when she discovered her partner for her eighth year on the show.

In the latest episode, with a clip shared to Dianne's Instagram page, the Australian dancer is heard telling Chris she missed him while recently touring the country with her co-stars as one of the ensemble dancers after he was unable to sign up to the live tour due to his own stand-up show, Yonks!, going back on the road.

She said: "I genuinely did miss you and I think everyone did. I think everyone missed you there. We were in the makeup room on the last day and we were getting our makeup done
