BBC Strictly Come Dancing judge 'wants the truth' as they're 'blown away' by show scandal

Craig Revel Horwood has said he 'wants the truth' as the Strictly Come Dancing scandal rumbles on. The BBC One dance contest judge has once again been quizzed on the allegations surrounding the show's professional dancers his latest appearance on live TV.

Earlier this week, Craig was asked about the complaints and on-going investigation during an appearance on BBC Breakfast. Concerns have recently been raised about the treatment of contestants Amanda Abbington and Zara McDermott.

Amanda has described professional Giovanni Pernice’s behaviour as "unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean". He denies the claims but won't be returning to the ballroom this year.

Meanwhile, Graziano Di Prima has also left the show after allegations about his treatment of Love Island star Zara, who has since shared her deep fears of speaking out at the time, citing a 'victim blaming' culture for her doubts.

Now, during an interview about his new 80s musical NOW That’s What I Call A Musical on This Morning, hosts Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle asked the show's star about the current reports surrounding the series.

Craig said: "I knew nothing, the judges are very separate. When the story erupted and came out in the press, I was shocked, along with all the other judges. And I couldn’t quite believe it because we meet the pros and we meet the celebs on occasion throughout the show.

"But we’re very separate, we’re on level two, and for obvious reasons we shouldn’t be talking to them or geering them up before the show as judges, so we take that part of it seriously.
