BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans ask for it to 'stop' just as Halloween week begins

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left asking for it to 'please stop' as they 'still' can't get used to the biggest change of the series.

The hit dance show was back on BBC One and it was Halloween week in the ballroom. Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman swerved donning fancy dress, instead wearing matching all-black ensembles.

But they didn't need to go too crazy as the judges certainly made up for it. Strictly viewers were left screaming at Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke's incredible joint effort as the twins from The Shining while Motsi Mabuse came dressed as classic Disney villain Cruella de Vill while head judge Shirley Ballas appeared as Hocus Pocus' Winifred Sanderson.

But it was comedian Chris McCausland who kicked off week six of the competition by performing a lively samba to Stayin’ Alive by The Bee Gees

Dressed in a sparkly suit and frazzled wig, the stand-up grooved along the floor in between gravestones with his partner Dianne Buswell to pick up a score of 26.

But it was the acted opening to the Halloween special and the change to Tess and Claudia not making their usual entrance to the Strictly theme tune courtesy of Dave Arch's band that is still getting under viewers' skin.
