Man United wonderkid makes stunning statement while Alphonso Davies transfer message delivered

Chido Obi-Martin announced his arrival as a star of the future with a stunning hat-trick as Manchester United Under-18s thrashed Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The frontman joined recently from Arsenal in a much-publicised move and he wasted little time in making an impact with the 16-year-old hitting a treble inside the opening 14 minutes against Forest. He was replaced at half time as he continues to be eased in to action following his summer arrival but the quality was on show for all to see.

Obi-Martin will no doubt be a star of the future given his goalscoring exploits already in such a young career. Here's the latest United headlines.

If you are not a Manchester United or Arsenal supporter you might not have heard of Chido Obi-Martin.

Based on Saturday's events at Carrington, however, it will not be all that long before you have. Making his full debut for United's Under-18s, the Dane required just the opening 14 minutes of their 6-0 win over Nottingham Forest to help himself to a hat-trick.

Fresh from making a 27-minute cameo appearance in the 4-3 win over Sunderland in the Under-18s Premier League last weekend, Obi-Martin, who finalised a switch to Old Trafford last month, was awarded his first start by Adam Lawrence for the visit of the Midlands outfit.

The 16-year-old justified Lawrence's decision with just 13 seconds on the clock, giving United's youngsters the dream start. The former Arsenal striker capitalised on a defensive error from Forest's Riko Robinson, who was attempting to play the ball back to his goalkeeper, rounded Keehan Willows and turned the ball home.
