BBC EastEnders fans in uproar and threaten to complain as legend 'killed off'

EastEnders enthusiasts are worried that Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) might be written out of the show, 31 years after her first appearance in Walford.

In the most recent, and highly dramatic, episode of EastEnders (November 6), available now on iPlayer, Bianca was seen confronting Reiss Colwell (Johnny Freeman) about his lie concerning the death of his comatose wife Debbie (Jenny Meier).

Bianca had viewed CCTV footage showing the accountant leaving the care home on the night of Debbie's death. In an attempt to free her sister Sonia (Natalie Cassidy), who is currently in prison accused of the murder, she managed to extract a confession from Reiss.

In a hurry, Bianca tried to call the police on her mobile, but Reiss destroyed the evidence before breaking down. Despite this, Bianca told Reiss that she would not let him prevent her from revealing his deceit.

In an effort to stop Bianca from exposing his crime, Reiss insisted he never intended for his pregnant fiancée Sonia to take the fall, and pleaded that he wouldn't be able to cope in prison, reports the Daily Star.

He then confessed that ending Debbie's life had been a mercy killing, and proposed a plan that could free Sonia and save him from jail simultaneously.

In a surprising turn of events, Reiss disclosed that he still had the pillow he used to suffocate Debbie, suggesting that Bianca could hand it over to secure Sonia's release, while he fled.

Initially hesitant, Bianca eventually agreed to retrieve the evidence, discreetly hiding a candlestick in her jacket for self-defence.

Upon reaching the eerie lock-up, Bianca insisted on accompanying Reiss to collect the pillow, fearing he might flee.
