BBC Breakfast star can't contain laughter over guest's tattoo of football manager
A BBC Breakfast reporter had a hard time keeping a straight face while interviewing a man with an attention-grabbing tattoo.
Saturday morning's programme, aired on November 2 saw Mike Bushell in Scarborough for a feature on the local football team, Scarborough Athletic, and those who are at the heart of the club.
While reporting, he had a chat with Jonathan Greening, a former Champions League winner and player for Manchester United and West Bromwich. Now he manages Scarborough Athletic, and he reminisced about his links to the town's original football club.
"I used to go and watch the old club at the McCain stadium with my brothers and my dad... and used to be ball boy there," he recounted. "Obviously it hit hard times and it's so nice to be back at this football club."
During the discussion, Jimmy Beadle, another member of the management team, arrived, reports the Express.
"Jonny, one other thing," Bushell inquired of the club manager. "To be part of your management team, do you have to have a tattoo of you on your arm? ".
With a big smile, Jonathan responded: "You do yeah, it's part of the process" as the camera revealed Coach Jimmy's forearm, emblazoned with the image of the footballer's face and the phrase 'Jono Greening is my mate'.
Bushell interjected, struggling to suppress his chuckles: "This is Coach Jimmy who has got a tattoo, look... of Jonny," as Jonathan added a playful comment: "Good looking chap there, right there."
The tattoo pays homage to the club's history, depicting the gates of the former Scarborough club grounds, a sentimental connection for Coach Jimmy who boasts scoring the final goal for the old Scarborough club at their past venue, as well as being the first to score for the new club.
