BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty supported by fans as she returns to show amid painful diagnosis

Naga Munchetty has been flooded with support by BBC Breakfast fans as the 48-year-old returned to her hosting duties on the morning show today (June 2) after some time away. Many viewers were pleased to see her back in the studio after going public with her painful health battle with adenomyosis.

According to the NHS, adenomyosis is a condition where the lining of the womb is found deep in the muscle of the uterus, often causing uncomfortable symptoms - including heavy, painful or irregular periods.

It is not known exactly why adenomyosis happens, but it is likely that women with the condition have a predisposition due to their genes, immune system and hormones. Adenomyosis is not contagious and is benign (not cancerous).

The BBC star looked radiant as she retuned in a gorgeous figure-hugging orange dress, with short sleeves and a low cut neck line. She presented the programme alongside fellow host Charlie Stayt after having being absent for several days.
