BBC Breakfast's Ben Thompson left speechless by viewer's 'questionable choice'

BBC Breakfast's Ben Thompson was lost for words when a viewer's unexpected admission prompted him to comment "questionable choice".

During the Saturday (October 19) instalment of the morning news programme, Ben and his co-presenter Sarah Campbell were back on our screens, discussing the day's top stories from the iconic red sofa.

The presenters shared that it was National Album Day, with this year's theme celebrating Great British groups. The pair invited viewers to share their favourite albums.

Ben introduced the topic by saying: "We've been talking to you this morning about it being National Album Day and we've asked you to send in your suggestions of what is your go to, your must have and iconic album."

Sarah confessed: "It's so difficult being put on the spot because there's so many good albums. You have been sending in your brilliant albums so let's go through them.", reports the Express.

The TV host commented, "Ian this is a questionable choice but each to their own." He carried on, "Ian from Staffordshire, morning to you. He said Slade's live album changed his life and he still listens to it at the age of 68."

"Well good for you Ian. Whatever makes you happy." Sarah chimed in, "Exactly, Slade changed his life and I love that."

Earlier, the presenting pair had discussed their top albums, with Sarah disclosing that Pet Shop Boys' 'Please' was her first purchase.
