BBC Ambulance viewers 'in stitches' as 'Snoop Dog of Blackpool', 76, raves about 'wacky baccy'

Viewers of BBC's Ambulance were left in hysterics during Tuesday night's episode (March 20) over a pensioner who raved about smoking cannabis.

Kathleen, 76, who was seen being transferred to Blackpool Victoria Hospital after calling 999 due to difficulties with her breathing due to COPD, was filmed talking to paramedics in the back of the ambulance.

The pensioner quickly made them giggle after telling them she smokes 'one joint at night' after being told she had arthritis, prompting one of the paramedics to nickname her 'The Snoop Dog of Blackpool'.

"I have one joint at the night time. I do it because I got told I had arthritis and I am still waiting for the pain to kick in, and I swear it's down to the wacky backy," she said.

When asked how smoking cannabis made her feel, she responded: "Originally, when you first start smoking it, it just enhances every feeling that you feel. So, with sex, it's brilliant... if you're feeling hungry, you're ravenous. But now it does nothing like that."

The 76-year-old then giggled as she refused to disclose where she got cannabis from when asked if she 'had a dealer'.

Fans of the show were left 'in stitches' over the segment, quickly taking to social media to praise Kathleen, as @SteveGarti posted to X: "Now I love that granny. BIGUP #ambulance."
