Bayley edging towards WWE return 'within the month'

WWE’s women’s division could receive a boost very soon, with reports of Bayley being back in action within the next month.

The record reigning former SmackDown Women’s Champion has been out of action since July 2021 after suffering a serious knee injury whilst training at WWE’s Performance Center. 

At the time, the 32-year-old was in the midst of a feud with Bianca Belair and set to face The EST of WWE at Money in the Bank 2021 in an ‘I Quit’ match for the SmackDown Women’s Title. However, she sustained a torn ACL while performing a chain wrestling drill and was expected to be on the side-lines for around nine months. 

That timescale indicated an April return and according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider the star could be back on television very soon. Claiming that Bayley is expected to return ‘within the next month or so’. Ruling the Grand Slam champion out of any likely part of WrestleMania in Dallas next month. 

Bayley has recently taken to Twitter to tease fans on her possible return, by highlight her status as a ‘free agent’ after she wasn’t assigned a brand during the October WWE draft. She also made light of her missing out on a match at WrestleMania for the second year in a row, by claiming she should have challenged Stone Cold Steve Austin to a match.
