Barry Robson turns Aberdeen ticket delivery man as boss dishes out Viaplay Cup final briefs ahead of destiny date

Aberdeen boss Barry Robson is confident top scorer Bojan Miovski will be fit for the Viaplay Cup final shoot-out with Rangers.

The North Macedonian international has been struggling with a hamstring issue after limping out of last weekend’s win over Hearts. The 12-goal striker missed Thursday’s Europa Conference League win over Eintracht Frankfurt but Robson is hoping to have him back on the training pitch before the Hampden visit.

“We will see how Bojan is again tomorrow morning (Sat) but I’m optimistic he’ll be fine,” Robson claimed. We still have a training session to go before the game and he’s been in the gym as well as out on the training pitch. So we’re optimistic he will be available, it’s not something I’m worried about. Everyone came out of the Frankfurt game fine so we have a few decisions to make.

“I have a team in my mind and have been close to a team for a wee while, but when you see things like we did on Thursday night then sometimes it can change.”

Rangers go in as favourites but Aberdeen are unbeaten against them this season, having beaten them at Ibrox and taken a point off that a Pittodrie. Robson insisted there will be a respect but no fear. He stated: “It’s an old cliche but we have to make sure we’re at our best all over the pitch because we are underdogs coming up against a very good team in Rangers.

“We respect Rangers but we don’t fear them. We have played well against them this season so will take confidence from that.

“They should be confident because they have played really well against some top teams. The good thing for us going into the cup final is we’ve played a lot of big, big games away from home this season.

“We’ve been to big stadiums against big teams, so that experience helps.
