Barcelona offered two Manchester United stars for 'totally ridiculous' fee and more transfer rumours

Barcelona have reportedly been offered the opportunity to sign Manchester United duo Donny van de Beek and Jadon Sancho in January.

MEN Sport reported this month the Reds are open to selling five players in the next transfer window to raise funds. Among those being allowed to leave, should they wish to, are Van de Beek and Sancho.

Van de Beek has failed to make a lasting impression at United while Sancho has been in exile following a public fallout with Erik ten Hag. According to El Nacional, United have offered the former Ajax midfielder to the La Liga giants for what is described as a 'totally ridiculous' fee of £34.3m.

The Reds are offering to sweeten the deal by throwing in Sancho to get him off the books. It is claimed this offer has been complicated by Van de Beek who has reportedly agreed terms with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Elsewhere, Football Transfers understands United hold an interest in Fulham's Joao Palhinha. The Portuguese midfielder has been a standout performer for Marco Silva but nearly left in the summer when Bayern Munich enquired about his availability.

It is now believed United want to complete a deal for the 28-year-old. The report states a £50m fee could be enough to get the defensive midfielder to Old Trafford.

Arsenal and Liverpool have also turned their attention to the Fulham man as Ten Hag reportedly sees him as a long-term replacement for Casemiro who is also being allowed the opportunity to leave the Theatre of Dreams this winter.
