Barcelona could smash attendance record again after Nou Camp tickets sell out for UWCL tie

Barcelona could break the all-time attendance record for a women’s fixture again, after confirming that tickets for their Champions League semi-final against Wolfsburg are now sold out. 

On Monday, the Spanish champions revealed the 50,000 tickets that had been made available to members had already been sold and those put on general sale have now been snapped up as well. 

Last month’s Women’s El Clasico saw 91,553 pack the Nou Camp as Barca thrashed Real Madrid 5-2. 

And the success of that match has prompted the club to host their home tie against Wolfsburg at the same venue. 

In a statement on the Barcelona website, the club said: “Barca Femeni will play again at the Camp Nou on April 22nd in the first leg of the Women’s Champions League against Wolfsburg and will once again have the unconditional support of the Barca people. 

“In just over 24 hours, tickets that have been made available to members and the general public have been sold out due to the avalanche of demand for this party.”
