Bank Holiday Monday weather: Rain showers forecast in Greater Manchester

Some rain showers are expected to hit Greater Manchester today on the Bank Holiday Monday.

According to the Met Office, a mix of sunshine, cloudy conditions and showers are forecast in our region today. After a sunny start to the morning, cloudier weather is due expected from around lunchtime.

From around 2pm, some light showers are then forecast to fall over Greater Manchester. Rain is expected to fall on and off through the afternoon and into the early evening.

It will feel mild this afternoon as temperatures reach a maximum of 18C. On the overall forecast for the North West today, the Met Office said: "A cloudy picture to start Bank Holiday Monday. Damp at times too with scattered showers, though sunny spells expected by the afternoon in between any showers, these a little heavy at times.

"Feeling warm in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 14C.

On the North West weather forecast for tomorrow, the weather service said: "A cloudy start but this breaking up quickly, leaving a fine and largely dry day with plenty of warm sunshine.

"The odd shower possible in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 17C."
