Bailey sidelined, Traore at AFCON - Aston Villa's full squad for Leeds United

Aston Villa will return to match action next week (February 9, 8pm) when they host Leeds United at a sold-out Villa Park.

Steven Gerrard put the majority of his squad through their paces on Tuesday when Brentford rocked up in B6 for a behind-closed-doors friendly.

New signings Robin Olsen and Calum Chambers featured, as did young trio Jacob Ramsey, Carney Chukwuemeka and under-23 starlet Tim Iroegbunam.

Ollie Watkins and Tyrone Mings got the goals for Villa in a 2-1 victory, with Matty Cash, Ezri Konsa, Kortney Hause, Lucas Digne, John McGinn, Douglas Luiz, Morgan Sanson and Danny Ings amongst those who got some much-needed match minutes in preparation for Leeds next week.

Those that didn't feature included Emi Martinez, Emi Buendia and Philippe Coutinho with the trio starring for Argentina and Brazil respectively overnight.

Elsewhere, Bertrand Traore and Trezeguet remain in Cameroon with the pair in Africa Cup of Nations semi-final action tonight ( vs Senegal, 7pm) and tomorrow (Cameroon vs , 7pm), with the final taking place on Sunday, February 6.

Ahead of Leeds next week, Villa have just two absentees with Marvelous Nakamba out until late April with a knee injury and Leon Bailey who's looking for a return later this month.
