Baby dies at property with police investigation underway

A baby has tragically died at a property in Middleton - with a police investigation now underway.

Emergency services, including police officers and paramedics, raced to Bonscale Crescent at around 2.05pm yesterday afternoon (Sunday, June 30). Police said they were called to 'reports of a baby not breathing at an address'.

A cordon was put in place as the air ambulance also landed on a grassed area off the street, close to Mi Julies chippy and takeaway. Sadly, the one-year-old child was pronounced dead on the scene, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said.
