Attack on woman exposed "extremley dangerous" gun-toting drug dealer
A man who assaulted woman outside his home exposed himself as an "extremely dangerous" and heavily armed drug dealer. Police responded after they were alerted that a woman had been attacked at Joseph Bassey's home.
Officers established that immediately after the assault Bassey had moved bags from his garage to his white Skoda Superb. He had moved his vehicle to a nearby street. A search of the vehicle revealed it was packed with illegal drugs and firearms.
From the car, officers recovered over 4kg of MDMA, supply amounts of amphetamine, ketamine, and a large bag cocaine. The total value of drugs seized had an estimated street value of over £60,000.

The charges came after a call was made to Cheshire Police at 12.54pm on Saturday 27 May 2023, reporting that Bassey had assaulted a woman outside of his home address in Widnes.
