Atletico Madrid's Koke took selfie with fan during friendly vs Numancia

Atletico Madrid‘s preparation for the 2022/23 campaign got off to the perfect start on Wednesday afternoon.

Diego Simeone’s side beat Numancia 4-0 at the Estadio Municipal de El Burgo de Osma, Thomas Lemar, Angel Correa, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Matheus Cunha grabbing the goals.

It was a very comfortable outing for the La Liga outfit, one in which there was a rather strange moment involving their captain Koke.

When the visiting side were 4-0 up and cruising in the 67th minute of proceedings, the Spain international was approached by a fan while preparing to take a corner kick.

Due to the fact there were no advertising boards/railings in place or security guards nearby, it was very easy for the fan to step on the pitch and walk right up to Koke.

Thankfully, all they wanted was a selfie with the experienced midfielder and in sporting fashion, Koke abided by their wishes.

Check out footage of the rather bizarre incident…

Yeah, pre-season friendlies officially peaked in that very moment. To be fair to the fan, he saw his opportunity and grabbed it with both hands.

Now the Atletico supporter has a picture with one of the most famous footballers in Spain right now which he will surely cherish forever.

Atletico’s next pre-season match sees them take on Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United side at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo, Norway.

We’ll be very surprised if a fan manages to get an on-field selfie with a player during that encounter…

After Atletico and United lock horns in Scandinavia, Simeone’s men have two games in the space of four days against fellow Spanish side Cadiz and Italian giant Juventus.

Los Rojiblancos should be well-prepared for the 2022/23
