Atalanta risk Matt O'Riley transfer being hijacked over £2m Celtic quibble as path to Premier League clears

Atalanta reportedly fear that Brighton could win the race to sign Matt O'Riley this summer before they can reach an agreement on a fee with Celtic.

Reports in Italy claimed that a fifth bid is on the way to Parkhead - despite Celtic already kicking out FOUR bids from the Europa League winners as they continue to test the resolve of the Scottish Premiership champions to keep their star man this term. However, they are not alone in pushing for a deal with the Seagulls, Chelsea, Bournemouth and Southampton among the queue of clubs in the English Premier League considering a deal.

It is claimed that "there is a distance of around" £2million in valuations between Celtic and the Italians.

The report claims that it is believed the future of the Danish international could be decided "in next few days". It is stated that the Serie A side will only green light a fresh move once Teun Koopmeiners has been sold to Juventus.
