Atalanta make FOURTH Matt O'Riley transfer bid as Celtic asking price 'set'

Atalanta have tested Celtic's resolve for Matt O'Riley once again - but the two sides are still well apart in their valuation, according to a report.

Brendan Rodgers' star man has been the subject of interest this summer with the Serie A side looking to land the former MK Dons man. English Premier League outfit Brighton remain keen on doing a deal for the Denmark international but as things stand he is still in green and white.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has shared a message on X saying that the Italian outfit have made an offer worth €23m - just shy of £20million but that is well short of what the Scottish champions are seeking with the same post insisting they are looking to net €28m which is around £24m. He wrote: "Atalanta sent new bid to Celtic for Matt O’Riley worth €23m. Celtic insist on asking €28m fee for O’Riley. Brighton also remain keen on signing the midfielder."

O'Riley starred for Celtic in their opening day of the season win over Kilmarnock last weekend and will no doubt be a key player once more on Sunday when the travel to the capital to face Hibs at Easter Road on matchday two of the Scottish Premiership.
