Aston Villa injury news and return dates ahead of Manchester City season finale

Aston Villa could be without three players when they take on Manchester City at the Etihad in their final game of the season.

Villa suffered no new injuries in Thursday’s draw with Burnley when Jacob Ramsey also returned to the starting line-up for the first time in four games. Steven Gerrard will hope to deny City winning the Premier League title with a statement result to end the campaign.

With a quick-fire turnaround from the final game at Villa Park, Gerrard has had little time to provide updates from Bodymoor Heath. However, the Villa boss may start both Philippe Coutinho and Danny Ings against Pep Guardiola’s side after the pair were named on the bench against Burnley.

The centre-back went down against Crystal Palace last weekend after a clash with Jean-Philippe Mateta and was replaced by Calum Chambers. Steven Gerrard has since confirmed that Konsa will be a long-term absentee.
