Aston Villa fans take aim at Leeds United chanting after stunning win

Aston Villa fans have taken aim at their Leeds United counterparts for chants toward Tyrone Mings during the 3-0 win at Elland Road on Thursday night.

Villa dismantled Jesse Marsch's side to come away from the Premier League clash victorious thanks to goals from Philippe Coutinho, Matty Cash and Calum Chambers.

Leeds and Villa supporters exchanged back-and-forths as the game kicked off and with Mings going down injured a couple of times he was the subject of some chanting from the home crowd.

Villa made it three wins in a row in the Premier League for the first time since early last season with Southampton and Brighton and Hove Albion also beaten in Steven Gerrard 's side's run.

Villa fans had their say on the game on social media with one writing: "If only Leeds fans spent more time supporting their team than trying to wind up the unflappable captain fantastic Mings."

Another said: "If Mings is as bad as Leeds fans are suggesting I dread to think how bad their players are. He would get in your side in EVERY position," while a third fan added: "Best thing about that goal, the Mings assist has shut the Leeds fans up."

"The assist from Leeds fans favourite player Mings, they should keep singing about him," another added.

"Mings with the assist while Leeds fans chanting about him being rubbish, you can’t make this up," a fifth Villa fan said.

Villa return to action when they play West Ham United in East London on Sunday (2pm) with Gerrard's men up into ninth place in the Premier League table because of Newcastle United's 2-1 win at Southampton.
