Thomas Tuchel On Whether Chelsea's Season Could Be Derailed Following Abramovich's Decision To Sell The Club

Chelsea supporters were in positive spirits despite an utterly chaotic day behind the scenes at their club.

Earlier this morning (Thursday), Roman Abramovich was added to the UK government's sanction list, just over a week after the Russian had put the Blues up for sale.

With all the potential distractions going on off the pitch, a Chelsea supporter could have been forgiven if they had forgotten their side was in Premier League action this evening away against bottom of the table Norwich City.

The Blues, who won the reverse fixture 7-0 earlier in the season, made the perfect start at Carrow Road as Trevoh Chalobah headed in from a fine Mason Mount corner.

After the goal went in, the jubilant away section chanted: "Chelsea get sanctioned everywhere they go!".

With all the uncertainty at the moment, it was a nice moment for the Chelsea fans who can clearly see the light side of events.

It got even better for their side not too long after when Mount, who provided the assist for the opening goal, picked the ball up from Kai Havertz on the left-hand side, took a brilliant touch and fired the ball into the top right corner.
