Aston Villa fans agree with Michael Beale about 'quality' Tim Iroegbunam
Aston Villa youngster Tim Iroegbunam made his Premier League debut during Aston Villa's 2-0 win over Brighton at the Amex on Saturday and Steven Gerrard's assistant coach, Michael Beale, has lavished praise on the 19-year-old.
Iroegbunam has continued to regularly train with Villa's first-team squad following the arrival of Gerrard as Dean Smith successor back in November and he has been patiently waiting for his opportunity.
With Villa comfortably leading Graham Potter's Brighton, Iroegbunam was substituted into the game on the 86th minute in replace of Philippe Coutinho.
After an impressive cameo against the Seagulls, Villa assistant Beale claimed the midfielder had a "bright future ahead".
Beale said on Twitter: "Delighted for Tim Iroegbunam - making his @AVFCOfficial debut today.
"He is a top young footballer and super impressive young man also. A very bright future ahead!"
And Villa fans were also impressed by Iroegbunam's showing. Here's a sample of what they have been saying on Twitter...
