Aston Villa face grim run of Premier League fixtures including Man Utd and Liverpool clashes
Aston Villa face a tough ending to the 2022/23 Premier League campaign with games against Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur all to come in the final weeks of the season.
Steven Gerrard's side are scheduled to play five games in 24 days at the back end of the season, with three of those coming away from home. A trip to Old Trafford on the final weekend of April is then followed by a visit to Wolves, a home clash with Tottenham and then Liverpool away in what will be the penultimate game of the season.
Villa's only bit of potential respite comes against Brighton on the final day, but the Seagulls finished five places above Gerrard's side last term in an impressive 9th position. At that point in the season, Villa will likely be jostling for points to either fight for or consolidate a place in the top half of the table, or even challenge for European football.
But they can't be over reliant on a strong finish to the campaign to complete their goals for the season with five tough games in store for the run-in. While that's a long way away, Gerrard will be focusing on the club's start to the new season with a trip to Bournemouth set to kick it all off.
Villa's first home game will come against Frank Lampard's Everton, before games against Crystal Palace and West Ham come next. It then gets a little tougher with back-to-back fixtures against Arsenal and champions Manchester City.
Elsewhere, Villa spend Boxing Day hosting Liverpool and face Tottenham in North London on New Year's Eve.
