Asda and Sainsbury's selling giant retro Quality Street tin cheaper than B&M, Amazon and more

Giant tins of the much-loved Quality Street chocolates are being sold at two supermarkets this Christmas, and they're cheaper than Amazon and B&M.

The retro-style limited edition tins are a popular choice during the festive season and weigh 813g, which is more than 200g heavier than your 600g plastic tubs.

But while they typically retail for around £12, or £10 at budget retailer B&M, Asda and Sainsbury's are selling them for £8. You do need a Nectar card at the latter to get them at the offer price though.

It works out at 98p per 100g and is more than half the price of Amazon's tin, where it's on sale for £17.99.

We've been taking a look inside the giant tin to see exactly what you get.

There are 89 chocolates altogether, of 11 different varieties, including all the favourites we all know and love, including Fudge and the iconic Green Triangle.

Perhaps controversially there are more Orange Cremes than anything else - with a dozen of them in the tin.

The Coconut Eclair, Toffee Penny and Strawberry Delight come in next, with 10 each of those, followed by Toffee Finger and Fudge, of which there are nine.

Caramel Swirl fans will be pleased to hear there are seven of those, as well as seven of The Purple One.

The numbers then start to dwindle with six Orange Chocolate Crunch, five Milk Choc Blocks and just four of The Green Triangle.

Here's the list in order

Orange Creme 12

Strawberry Delight 10

Toffee Finger 9

Fudge 9

Orange Chocolate Crunch 6

The Green Triangle 4

Just last month we reported how Quality Street is moving away from having just tins and plastic tubs with the launch of a cardboard tub. It comes after paper wrappers were brought
