Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal is shaping up to be the most important north London derby in recent memory.

This fixture was supposed to have taken place last month, but the Gunners' request to the Premier League to have the game called off due to injuries, suspension and Covid-19 cases was accepted.

As a result, by the time the two rivals take to the pitch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the rearranged game, it could very well be a top-four decider following a surprise result this weekend.

Whilst Arsenal, as expected beat Brentford 2-1 at home, Spurs shocked Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium to remain firmly in the hunt for Champions League qualification.

Both teams still have three games in hand over Manchester United who currently sit fourth and an announcement was made earlier in the week regarding a new date for one of Arsenal's rescheduled matches.

On Wednesday 16 March, the Gunners welcome Liverpool to the Emirates Stadium.

This fixture was originally scheduled for Sunday 27 February, but was postponed due to Jurgen Klopp's side being in London but for the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium instead.

Although, there's still no word on when the second north London derby of the season - or the Gunners' trip to Stamford Bridge for that matter - will be rearranged
