Arsenal: £9m star will 'definitely' leave the Emirates

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno could leave the club this summer, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Leno has spent the last four years at the Emirates Stadium, but his days at Arsenal appear to be numbered.

In his first three campaigns at Arsenal, Leno was the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper, making 30 or more Premier League appearances in each season.

However, following the signing of Aaron Ramsdale last summer, he has lost his place in the team. After the first three games of the season, Leno was replaced by Ramsdale, who has gone on to cement his spot in the starting line-up.

Leno has played just once in the top-flight since August, and that was only due to Ramsdale being unavailable with a hip injury.

Jones has admitted there is a distinct possibility that Leno could move on from Arsenal in the upcoming transfer window.

He has even claimed that Leno was close to returning to Germany last summer, and that he expects the 30-year-old to make the switch to his homeland ahead of next season.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “I can definitely see Leno going. I’m surprised he’s even stayed to this point, to be honest. He was expected to go back to Germany at the start of the season. That was part of the reason they ended up signing Ramsdale.

“That move didn’t come about, but I do think that will probably be where he ends up in a few months’ time.”

Since he arrived in north London, Leno has made 125 appearances for Arsenal, and has rarely let the side down.

Indeed, when he came into the team for their game against Aston Villa in March over six months after his last Premier League game, he showed his class by keeping a clean sheet in a
