Armed police descend on Greater Manchester road after crash involving a DEER
Armed police descended on a country lane in Greater Manchester following a crash involving a deer. Luckily, the deer emerged unharmed from the incident.
Officers descended on George's Lane in Horwich, near Bolton, on Sunday morning (June 2). Eyewitnesses reported seeing a number of police cars on the street, off Chorley Old Road, at around 10.30am.
Armed officers were seen in attendance. Greater Manchester Police says it was called out to the scene following a collision between a deer and a car.

The force confirmed that an armed response vehicle attended the scene as part of its operation. Officers checked over the scene as they arrived.
Fortunately, the deer was able to return to its natural home following the collision, GMP says. No police action was required after the incident. George's Lane fully reopened later on Sunday morning.
