Antony names six Manchester United players who have helped him as Ed Woodward lands new job

Here are your Tuesday evening Manchester United headlines.

Antony thanks six United players for helping him since summer move

Antony thanked Casemiro, Fred, Lisandro Martinez, Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot and David de Gea as he praised the Manchester United teammates who have helped him to settle in this season.

United signed Antony from Ajax in a deal rising to €100million (£85.5m) last summer and the player's debut season has been a mixed bag, as there have been glimmers of talent but he's only been able to contribute eight goals and three assists.

Erik ten Hag was desperate to sign the 23-year-old, but there was a feeling the club were investing such a large transfer fee into him because of his potential and the player that he could become, not the winger he currently is.

Regardless, Antony has admitted he now feels settled and accustomed to life at Old Trafford, which can only be a good omen for next season.

Ed Woodward lands new job post United

Ed Woodward has accepted his first job since leaving his role as Manchester United's executive vice-chairman last year.

Woodward, who spent a total of 16 years at Old Trafford, has joined the board of EStars as a non-executive director. Woodward has joined the educational esports company which claims to be 'at the heart of the fastest-growing sport in the world'.

EStars say they 'partner with educators to provide an engaging, inclusive learning experience through online gaming'. The company was founded in 2017 and former Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul has been a shareholder since its inception.
