There are academy graduates included in squads across the Premier League, but it is Harry Kane who is performing the best of them all this season.

The England captain had a slow start but has now scored 15 goals and registered three assists in 31 appearances for Tottenham, during the campaign so far.

Son Heung-min is still Spurs' top scorer in the league this season but Kane is just three goals away and has started to find his form again, under Antonio Conte.

With no real depth up front for the Lilywhites, the 28-year-old is yet again becoming a key part of the Italian's line-up in every game.

After a summer of uncertainty for Kane, he struggled to make an impact under Nuno Espirito Santo, which was also partly down to the poor service he was getting from his teammates and Conte spoke about this as something that needed improving.

"It is important to have chances to score and we are improving a lot in this aspect," he said in December. "I am sure Harry is going to score many goals.

"For sure, as a coach it’s very difficult to decide to keep Harry on the bench, but at the same time, when you play the way we played in the last period – six games in 17 days – every coach has to have the possibility to make rotations and don’t drop so much the level."
