Tottenham news: Antonio Conte says stars 'follow him' as Jose Mourinho suffers fresh blow

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has suffered a fresh blow in Italy following criticism of his leadership of AS Roma.

Mourinho's side managed a 2-2 draw with Verona at the weekend and the Portuguese manager has now been told he is "giving nothing" to his new club.

It comes as current boss Antonio Conte has addressed the attitude of his Spurs squad and compared his players to those he's managed at other teams.

And, away from football, Tottenham are vying with the Middle East to host Anthony Joshua's rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte has praised the attitude of his players, saying his squad "follow" him.

Conte's side claimed an impressive 3-2 win over Premier League leaders Manchester City at the weekend, with Harry Kane in particularly good form.

And the Tottenham manager seemed to be in good spirits as reveals he now goes into work with a smile, because of the work ethic within his squad.

The Italian's words have also given an insight into life at the club under the new regime.

AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has been told he is "doing worse than at Tottenham".

Mourinho was sent off in stoppage time after watching his side draw 2-2 with Verona in the Serie A on Saturday.

And following the disappointing performance of his side, the Portuguese manager has been slammed by former Italy internationals Antonio Cassano and Daniele Adani, who say he "giving nothing to Roma".

The criticism will come as a fresh blow to Mourinho, whose side have struggled in the league this season and now sit in eighth place in the Serie A table, six points adrift of fourth-place Juventus.
